Xavvi is Coming! Thank You for making our crowdfunding campaign a hit. Here’s how you can get hands-on with our new AI and no-code tool Xavvi in just a few weeks…

Thank you!

Firstly, I’d like to start by expressing our utmost gratitude for the support that was put behind our recent crowdfunding campaign. After being told countless times that people wouldn’t fund a software project of this nature, or crowdfunding wouldn’t be a viable option in this instance, we had faith in the community and went ahead and did it anyway.

And you guys totally blew us away with your support. We managed to raise almost $350,000 as a community to put towards our new no-code and AI innovation, Xavvi. This is a remarkable figure since non-gaming software projects almost never get funded to this level. If you look on Kickstarter for example, only a handful of software tech projects have ever reached this level of funding and one of them is ours! The LiveCode community is a force to be reckoned with. On behalf of the entire team I’d love to give a big thank you to everyone who supported or shared the campaign.

So, what lies ahead?

Your pledges have allowed us to secure our future in the AI and no-code space, evolve with the ever changing industry and bring you the latest next level tech which you can apply to your personal projects and businesses, expanding opportunity for all LiveCode users. The capital raised is being put towards getting Xavvi finished as quickly as possible, with the start of a marketing budget to ensure we hit the ground running on release. There will also be a beta coming very soon, read more on that below.

Your generous contributions have ensured that we can add hot new features and continue to innovate within the company. For example we’re busy perfecting our new 5 layer AI app building tool which will empower people with no coding experience at all to build fully functioning apps (think Chat GPT but for building apps). All of this is continuing our mission at LiveCode to make software development more accessible.

Tired of hearing about AI and Chat GPT? That’s far from the only thing Xavvi has to offer. Get ready for an array of comprehensive new widget options, new connectors to popular APIs, seamless app hosting and cloud data integration, enhanced point-and-click actions, and much more. All seamlessly integrated into our cleanest and most responsive design yet.

We hope you’re as excited as us about this new era for LiveCode. It will expand our audience and break free from any notions that no-code limits potential. With Xavvi, you can construct anything from a simple business application to a sophisticated SaaS platform capable of accommodating millions of users. Moreover, you retain full control over your creations, with the flexibility to tweak or add code as you see fit.

When can you get your hands on Xavvi?

Pledgers will get the earliest access to the Xavvi beta which is going live this Summer. So it won’t be long until you can get some real life experience with the product. This will be a key opportunity for you to shape the future of Xavvi with your feedback contributions.  Keep an eye out for a beta release date in the next few weeks.

Throughout the beta we will begin to roll out to more and more users, so if you didn’t get to make a pledge don’t worry! Details around this roll out are coming soon so make sure to sign up to our newsletter and marketing emails so you don’t miss anything.

Not feeling the name Xavvi?

We’re all ears! We value your input and would love to hear any name suggestions you may have. Please feel free to leave a comment here or reach out to us directly. We will be looking intently at all feedback that comes in over the beta period and as we are still in the development stages the name could be set to change. So don’t hold back on your opinions!

How about a simple name: LiveCodeAI? Xavvi seems too complex a name and uncertain to pronounce.

I think if you want to project something fresh and exciting, even if it’s built on Livecode (which is a positive), I would use a completely new name. It will gain reputation based on how well it meets users needs, not the name. Xavvi seems fine to me for something that is projecting itself to be something different from a traditional Xtalk-based development environment (but the X is still in there… isn’t that a happy coincidence? Or is it 🙂

How about: LiveNoCode or Let-It-Code or CodeLessCode?

I suggest “NECO” or “NECOLI” or “NECOLIAS” as an acronym (of various lengths) for
    NEural
    COde
    LIvecode
    ASsistant
My favorite is NICOLIAS since it has a “creative artist” ring to it like “Leonardo” who in real live was WAY ahead of his time, a visionary, etc.

Sorry about the typo… my favorite is NECOLIAS. 🙂

NECO, NECOLI, OR NECOLIAS as an acronym (differing lengths) of “NEural COde LIvecode ASsistant”. NECOLIAS gives it a touch of innovation beyond its time, such as “Leonardo” as in DaVinci, who was a creative genius well ahead of his time. 🙂

Not loving the name. What about ChatCode or LiveTalk?

    Just an inspiration:
DreamCode (as Augusta Ada King-Noel, Countess of Lovelace aka Ada Lovelace did 🙂

How about NoCode(Live), or harking back to its origins, HyperCode(AI)

  • shaun O'Connor - June 2, 2023 reply

Once upon a time livecode was called runtime revolution, in honour of those humble beginnings(its basically a rewrite of the original HyperCard model) I would suggest something along the lines of revolutionAI. or evolutionAI.

    How about liveAI, LiveAI++
