Develop Yourself Video Competition Winner Announced

A few months ago we announced our new “Develop Yourself” branding, and to celebrate we ran a competition, asking you to make a 3 minute video on the theme of Develop Yourself. All entries win a t-shirt, are published on our video wall and the winner gets a $500 prize.

We got some great entries! It’s fascinating to see the different ways LiveCode is used, in far flung corners of the globe, by widely different people. Thank you to everyone who did as we asked, grabbed a camera, and answered one or more of the suggested questions:

The Entries

In 3rd place, Ricardo Aldape.

We liked this entry because it was well put together, nicely framed and flowed smoothly. It shows a great way to use LiveCode, and we’re delighted LiveCode is helping to monitor the health of the Mexican population! Congratulations, and a t-shirt will be on its way to you shortly.

In 2nd place, Gert Veltink.

We loved seeing how LiveCode is used in teaching, with shots of an animated kiosk app supporting language learning. What really pushed this video up into second place though, was the great thumbs up at the end! We love your enthusiasm Gert. You’ll be getting a t-shirt shortly also.

In 1st place, Tom Svensson.

This short video won us over with the effort and creativity that went into making it. Shooting in a small plane, with panoramic views of the countryside to start cannot have been easy! We also love Tom’s story, of stumbling across LiveCode by accident and picking it up to write a weather app in 2 days for his flying club. Tom wins $500 and a Develop Yourself t-shirt.
