To add an extra boost to our Infinite LiveCode campaign, Digital Pomegranate is offering an incentive of infinite possibilities. If we reach our core goal of $40,000 by Friday, Todd Fabacher and Digital Pomegranate will open source to the community their complete WordPress framework. This has taken them a year and cost over $50,000 to research, design and code.
This generous offer will allow LiveCoders to develop ecommerce applications using LiveCode, to update WordPress websites directly using a LiveCode application, to develop survey applications using Gravity forms and many other new benefits that Digital Pomegranate are happy to share with the LiveCode community should we hit this target.
Over to you Todd…
LiveCode + WordPress = Infinite Possibilities
Here are just five reasons to help you understand why this is important and the HUGE benefits to our community this will provide:
#1. WordPress Is Free & Open Source just like LiveCode
WordPress is an open source software – free to use, edit and redistribute. That’s why you can easily find its original source codes publicly available. WordPress software is completely free and comes with unlimited validity. You can download it from its official website. By the way, all hosting companies generally provide one-click installation facility of WordPress. So even if you are not a web wiz, you will be able to get a website up and running quickly and easily.
What you get: WPRESTAPI.livecode
This is a script only stack [over 2000 lives of code done for you] that completely wraps the WP REST APIÂ in simple to use LiveCode. You will be able to add or update Post, Pages, media and much more. You can control WordPress from your LiveCode App. Write a front end to a blog or control your news website like CNN.com does.
What you get: Two hour webinar
We have agreed to give a full 2 hour webinar explaining the framework, how to code for it and how to make a profit from it!! By going over the different aspects of technologies: WordPress, REST API and LiveCode and the Internet – you will be prepared to do it on your own. We will also cover the business aspects of this technology and how to pitch it to customers and increase revenue.
#2. It is the most popular CMS on the internet, by wide margins
Why did we actually create the tools in LiveCode? Money – and because our customers demanded it. They were NOT willing to give up WordPress, so we needed a solution to allow the apps we were creating to communicate with their websites. The numbers speak for themselves…
What you get: A market with millions of websites
Most of these customers want a mobile App that communicates with their website, downloads the data locally and provides a solution that can read and write data via WordPress. Real Estate, Plumbers, News Sites, Tourism and many more…these are the solutions we have already been working on.
#3. WordPress is also the #1 eCommerce solution in the world
WooCommerce Dominates Global E-Commerce Platforms, Passing 7 Million Downloads in 2015. WooCommerce is not only head of the pack when it comes to WordPress e-commerce solutions, the plugin is also the global leader among e-commerce platforms. According to recent stats from BuiltWith, WooCommerce is currently powering roughly 30% of all online stores.
What you get: wooComRestAPI.livecode
Have you ever wanted to do eCommerce with LiveCode? Well our WooCommerce Lib [over 3000 lines of code] completely wraps the Woo REST API . You will now be able to create a LiveCode App with the worlds most popular eCommerce solution.
#4. Online and inApp Form Builder and Interface
Now you can have your cake and eat it too! Yes, you can have the same data entry forms in your LiveCode App and online. You can either pull the data from the web to your App or push from your App to the web server with just a few lines of code. Gravity Forms  shields you from all the code, you just have to drag and drop!!!
What you get: GravityFormRestAPI.livecode [still in development]
Our LiveCode object completely shields you from the complexity of posting form data in your App to a central web service by wrapping the Gravity Forms API.
#5. And if the first 4Â were not enough..interfaces to #1 WordPress Page Builder Plugin
1,000,000+ People Can Not Be Wrong…Visual Composer for WP. What you don’t know is most WP websites are NOT coded anymore. They simply use a page builder, and we will show you how to create and update the actual WP layout and design right from LiveCode!!!!
What you get: VisualComposerAPI.livecode [still in development]
We will show you how to actually code User Interfaces for both your App and the Web using Visual Composer [or use our pre-built UI object]. We use the WP REST API to do the actual communicating, but we will show you how to create shortcodes for Visual Composer, which is text like HTML.
This generous offer will be made available to the community if we reach the $40,000 base goal in the Infinite LiveCode campaign by Friday 20th May 2016.  At the time of writing this blog post we are 67% funded on this $40k base goal already, let’s get there by Friday. Pledge for infinite LiveCode today
