by Heather Laine on January 24, 2025 5 commentsIt was great seeing so many of you at our live Webinar, where we provided a report on the latest LiveCode Create progress. For those of you who couldn’t take part live, here is the recording.
The three main areas we’ve made major strides in are Documentation, Deployment and the Datastore. We’ve also added a number of smaller features including a PDF widget, a Switch widget and the single window IDE for Create Native (the desktop IDE). While we did our best to answer all your questions in the webinar, we inevitably ran out of time, so I have collected all your questions relating to LiveCode Create here and provided answers in the appropriate sections below.

by Steven Crighton on December 18, 2024 2 commentsAs the year draws to a close, I wanted to take a moment to share where we’re at with LiveCode Create – and where we’re headed next.

by Fred Moyer on August 16, 2024 5 commentsOne of the great uses of LiveCode is to create applications that perform tasks that are highly personalized yet deep and complex. I started studying the piano at age 7, majored in piano performance in college, and started a successful concert career as a young adult, playing in 44 countries with many of the world’s major orchestras. So it was a good success, but not huge, and had I continued in the normal way, I would probably have ended up teaching in a conservatory with modest performing activities on the side.

LiveCode 9.6.13 Stable – Google Play Store and CEF updates
by Heather Laine on August 8, 2024 1 commentWe’re pleased to announce the stable release of 9.6.13. The main benefits of this release are compatibility with version 34 of the Android API, and the 6.2.1 Google Billing Library used for in-app purchasing. Can we do all of those things without building a tool that feels limited? We took those questions into our approach to building Responsive Layout features and as much as it’s still work in progress, it’s already becoming one of my favourite features.
