Installing a Text Editor

Installing a Text Editor

We recommend using the Atom text editor. A LiveCode package is available which provides some colorization as well as indentation.

If you are on Mac and prefer to use TextWrangler, there is a colorising script here. It should be placed in /Application Support/TextWrangler/Language Modules/.

Note: Since this course was written TextWrangler has become unavailable. The colorization script can be used with BBEdit.

atom

  1. Open the Settings from the File menu
  2. Go to the Install tab of the Settings pane
