Pricing FAQs

Answers to the most commonly asked pricing questions

This license is intended for hobbyists and startups. It costs as little as $10.99/month. For this you can choose a single platform to create apps for, and you can author those apps from Mac, Windows or Linux. So you might install LiveCode on your Mac, and create apps for iOS. You can add one more platform to your monthly subscription. If you need more than two deployment platforms then you need to upgrade to an annual license. If your monthly subscription lapses, the standalone apps built with it will stop working.

An app created using LiveCode that does not need LiveCode itself to be installed in order to run. You can give a standalone app to your end users.

Your deployment platform is where you want your end user to be able to use your apps. So you can build the app on a Mac for example and your deployment platform can be iOS, or Windows.

You can deploy to iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, Linux, Server or Web.

The LiveCode IDE runs on Mac, Windows and Linux. You need a desktop or laptop machine to run LiveCode itself, you cannot author on a mobile device.
