100% Small Press Management via LiveCode

This session will cover how DC Books manages all aspects of its operations using an in-house developed LiveCode program. Managed operations include: invoicing, inventory, accounting, royalties, taxes, even postal charges. Since the age of HyperCard Keith has been using (and developing) a set of routines that runs a small press publishing house. These routines cover all areas of the business, from invoicing to inventory control to accounting as well as royalty calculation and title data, to name just a few of the areas liveCode currently controls. The program has been quite literally 35 years in operation and development. Keith will talk about the development and maintenance challenges of such a system.
