From PixThumbs to Patents

In the first part of his presentation, Keith will speak about the ongoing development of his PixThumbs software application. PixThumbs allows users to create customized, responsive image galleries that can be embedded within single image files. Galleries can also be exported as Web-based galleries for viewing on the Web. In the second part of the presentation, Keith will speak about his quest to acquire a software patent for his method of embedding and accessing extended metadata in binary files (particularly digital images).
Keith Long is a freelance technical writer and software developer who resides in beautiful Gulf Breeze, Florida. Keith has worked as a technical writer in the corporate world and as an English instructor in Northeast Asia. Prior to that, he was employed in the healthcare sector.
A self-proclaimed beach bum, you’ll probably find Keith somewhere on a Florida beach when he’s not working. His main interests include coding, reading and writing, anything and everything to do with the beach, classic rock & roll music, American cinema, and cooking.
