Flash talks June 15th Program 3pm BST
Sept 21 @ 8pm BST
Matthew Maier, 3pm: LiveCode and Bubble, a match made in Heaven
Matt has been making his desktop app work with a web app built on Bubble.is. He will be explaining how to exchange data between them. Livecode and Bubble make a good pair!
Roger Eller, 3.15pm: LiveCode In-House
Roger will talk about LiveCode apps created to help users over the years. He will show how how to consolidate our LiveCode apps into a central “Toolbelt” or launcher, describe the value-add from making in-house apps to supplement gaps in workflows, where other tools do not exist, demo a recent app (which won a bronze key, an internal company award, placing 3rd), and describe how multiple sites use it daily to bring efficiency to production file management, LiveCode Server and Desktop for verification of file existence and status, and conclude with a 1 minute video showing how LiveCode helped to deliver a process from the dark ages of printed paper.
Christopher Flatt, 3.30pm: Programming Without A Clue: LiveCode for Beginners
Christopher will give a talk on approaching Livecode from a beginner’s perspective. The talk will address what to do as a complete beginner, and where to go for information on everything from using the IDE to scripting to additional resources.
Rocky Heuft, 3.45pm: Coding algorithms
Rocky will demonstrate some ways to approach coding algorithms, using a deck of cards and some sleight of hand… well, a pack of cards anyway.
