9.6.5 Stable Brings App Bundles to Android

We are pleased to announce the release of LiveCode 9.6.5. This is the full stable release, ready for you to use with your deployed apps.

Getting the Release

You can find the release in your LiveCode account area or get it via the automatic updater. This replaces 9.6.4 as the current official stable release of LiveCode and will appear at the top of your list of downloads.

What’s in this release?

  • Android standalones can now be deployed as app bundles
  • The Android engine is now built using version 30 of the Android API
  • In-app purchases for Google Play Store now use v4 of the Google Billing Library
  • The browser widget on iOS will now send load events in response to user navigation
  • Library conflicts between maps and barcode widgets on Android have been resolved
  • Major speed enhancements when appending to large strings and encoding large arrays on Windows
  • Engine exits quickly when many loaded fonts and objects/paragraphs are still in memory
